The bail bonds woman came to collect money owed at a home in the 100 block of East Yellow Breeches Road located in Dickinson Township in Cumberland County on Thursday shortly after 5 p.m., according to the release.

Daniel Joseph Richardson III, 37, of Carlisle, was out of prison on bond for assaulting two members of law enforcement on Sept. 17, according to court documents.

Upon arrival Richardson asked someone else in his home to "go get the 22," the release states.

Richardson then threatened her by gesturing his hands as if he was pointing a finger gun between her eyes, police say.

A police investigation showed there was a .22 caliber gun inside the home.

When police arrived with a warrant for his arrest, a standoff ensued.

Flash bangs and two tear gas grenades were used to get Richardson to exit his home, according to the release.

Richardson was taken into custody on Friday at 2 a.m., according to the police.

He has been charged with the following for this incident, according to a new court docket:

  • F3 Terroristic Threats With Intent To Terrorize Another
  • M2 Simple Assault

He has been denied bail as “no amount of bail can assure the safety of the public,” Magisterial District Judge H. Anthony Adams said at his arrangement on Friday at 7:30 a.m., according to court documents.

His preliminary hearing for this case and the assault on law enforcement has been scheduled with Magisterial District Judge H. Anthony Adams on Nov. 24 at 11:15 a.m., according to court documents.
